Course Overview
The following course is designed for anyone whether those who would like to start a career within the coffee sector or is a coffee enthusiast and would like to take their skills to the next level.
The Barista Skills Foundation course focuses on the key skills required to set a grinder, make espresso and foam, and texture milk for cappuccinos.
This course allows one to gain an introductory understanding of the coffee itself and set a foundation from which to build practical skills for milk technique and latte art, while implementing health and safety practices and customer service.

A written online exam tests theoretical knowledge based on Foundation course learning objectives.

This course is accredited by the Speciality Coffee Association (SCA), and is worth 5 points towards the SCA Coffee Skills Diploma, an internationally recognised professional qualification for speciality coffee.
To earn their certificate, candidates must complete a written and practical exam at the end of the course.
